Instrumentation Technician

KEY FOCUS: INSTALLATION, COMMISSIONING AS WELL AS VERIFICATION AND CALIBRATION OF FIELD INSTRUMENTATION

The incumbent would be required to meet the following minimum requirements.

  • Grade 12 plus a Trade Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation
  • 2 Years’ experience in installation and maintenance of instrumentation and control panels
  • Code BE Driving License
  • Computer Literate – Extensive experience with MS Office especially MS Excel
  • Must be able to read Electrical as well as P&ID drawings (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be prepared to work on remote sites
  • Ability to execute and follow through in time
  • Maintain a high level of workmanship
  • Maintain a high level of Health and Safety requirements
  • Good communication skills

The incumbent will need to attend to the following areas of work

  • Keeps own product knowledge of the Companies entire range of products and services up to date at all times.
  • Install and Commission Field Instrumentation as per company standards
  • Perform fault finding and execute the required repairs
  • Calibration and Verification of Field Instruments as per required standards
  • Complete Reports and time sheets as per company standards
